What is the Ismaili Games?
The Northeast Ismaili Games (NEIG) is more than just your average sporting event – it's a celebration of unity, friendship, and healthy living within the Ismaili Muslim community. Our mission is simple: to bring our Northeast Jamat together, promote an active lifestyle, and foster a sense of camaraderie that lasts long after the final whistle blows.
NEIG originated with the goal of promoting physical fitness, healthy competition, and community unity among Ismaili Muslims in the region. Over the years, the games have grown in size and popularity, attracting participants from cities and states across the Northeastern United States.

Competitive athletisicm for everyone
Sport is at the heart of NEIG, with a diverse range of tournaments and activities designed to get everyone moving and having fun. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just looking to try something new, there's a game for you at NEIG. From soccer and volleyball to basketball and tennis, our lineup of sports is sure to get your heart pumping and your competitive spirit soaring.
But NEIG isn't just about what happens on the field – it's also about building connections and strengthening bonds within our community. Throughout the weekend, you'll have the chance to meet new friends, reconnect with old ones, and cheer each other on to victory. It's a chance to come together as a community and support one another in our shared goals and aspirations.
More than just sports
In addition to sports, NEIG also allows us to celebrate the rich traditions of the global Ismaili community. From music to dance, there's something for everyone to enjoy and appreciate. It's a chance to learn, to explore, and to come together in celebration of our shared heritage.
So whether you're a participant, a volunteer, or just someone looking to soak up the atmosphere, we invite you to join us for an unforgettable weekend at the Northeast Ismaili Games at UPenn on June 29 - 30th. Together, let's celebrate our community and build bonds that last a lifetime.
